About

L.D. Smith

Bio: Greetings. The name is Elizabeth, but most people call me Liz for short. I hail from the small Hoosier city of Logansport. You might have heard of it… Greg Kinnear (actor), Fiberglass Freaks (the only company that is officially licensed by DC Comics to make replicas of the 1966 Batmobile. No, seriously, I’m not kidding), the infamous Yahoo article in 2012 about a mayor who made his own parking spot in the police lot after being cited for parking illegally… That’s us! I graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Spanish and Religious Studies, but I discovered that writing was my calling instead. I started writing a 16-book series in 2005, giving the franchise the name “Angelic Guardians & Demonic Guardians”. Overall, the series is based on the impending apocalypse according to the Bible (The Book of Revelation, that is) but fused with the New World Order and personal experiences I’ve had in my college days. It also introduces both angels and demons as supernatural beings and a new class of half-breeds (that is, angels and demons born of mortal blood but with the eternal soul of their undead allegiance in battle). If you’re a fan of Sailor Moon, Harry Potter, and (dare I say) Twilight as well as Dante’s “Inferno” and Milton’s “Paradise Lost”, you will love both “Angelic Guardians” and “Demonic Guardians”. And, yes, you can like the page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/AngelicGuardians Aside from that, I’m a nice girl but nowhere near being your typical woman. First and foremost, I’m a nerd. I love anime and manga (Sailor Moon being my ultimate favorite), Pokémon video games (except Generation VI and beyond. I’m more partial toward the original 8-bit era with a touch of Nintendo DS magic), cosplay, and the original Star Wars trilogy. I have a weird fascination for new age and world religions; I’ve got a library chock full of books on these subjects, and I do practice divination on the side (I’m still mastering it). Musically-speaking, I prefer the 60s, 70s, and 90s (80s were okay, but most of it’s not my cup of tea), but I love the British music scene. No C/Rap, please (that's anything country or rap/hip-hop/R&B, by the way. I'm a rock chick). And I’m not ashamed to dress up Gothic or industrial either. I’ll take Japanese over Chinese any day except for stir-fry. Favorite animal: black wolf. Don’t ask me why, but I find them so cute (maybe because I’m used to having black dogs). And while I’m not big on sports, I do root for the Indianapolis Colts (I’m a Hoosier. I got to support the home team), the Dallas Cowboys for my Texas peeps, and the Manning Brothers because, well, they’re just awesome. All in all, I’m a mutt and proud of it. If you don’t like it, too bad.
